Jewish Life at the College of Charleston

20.03.2013

Jewish life at the College of Charleston is unique: our Hillel is located in the Jewish Studies Center on campus. Having the Jewish Studies professors nearby gives the Jewish students many resources for learning and growing as young adults. The Jewish Student Life staff and the JSU/Hillel Board work very hard to create programming that engages and interests students. Plus, our community outreach component is nearly unmatched, so students and faculty are a part of Charleston’s vibrant Jewish community. Learn more: http://jewish.cofc.edu

Student Involvement
JSU/Hillel serves as the center for Jewish life for more than 800 students at the College of Charleston. We’re a student-run organization that offers a variety of Jewish-themed programming for the entire student body as well as a chance for Jewish students to connect with each other in a fun, laid back, and supportive environment. We offer weekly programs such as Meet-to-Eat and Shabbat services and dinner. Our programming varies from semester to semester, but always includes community services opportunities, social activities, and religious/cultural events. JSU/Hillel is truly a “home away from home” for Jewish students at the College. Learn more: http://jsuhillel.cofc.edu/about/index…
