כמאה ילדים המאושפזים בבית החולים הדסה עין כרם זכו לכמה שעות של ניתוק ממיטות האשפוז כשנאספו לחגיגת פורים מרגשת עם הנשיא ורעייתו היום, יום רביעי, י”ב אדר א’, 22 במרץ, ברחבה של מחלקת הילדים בית החולים.
“פורים שמח לכל הילדות והילדים באשר הם ובמיוחד לילדים שנמצאים כאן בבית החולים,״ אמר הנשיא לילדים שהתאספו במקום עם הוריהם והוסיף: ״כולנו מתפללים להחלמתכם. היום, כשאתם בבית חולים במקום להיות בבית ובבית ספר מחופשים, אנחנו באים אליכם כדי להיות איתכם״.
״בירושלים, בחגיגות פורים המאוחרות, אנו תמיד שמחים אחרי חברינו בחלקים האחרים של הארץ שחוגגים לפנינו״, אמר הנשיא והמשיך: ״אבל אנו גם נהנים מהימים שלפני פורים ומהשמחה שפוקדת את ערי ישראל והעולם כולו. אני רוצה להודות לרופאים הנפלאים והנהדרים שדואגים לכל החולים כך כדי שנוכל לשמוח גם בתקופות קשות. אנחנו מודים גם לאחיות הנפלאות ולעובדים במחלקות שדואגים לכולכם״.

נשיא המדינה, ראובן (רובי) ריבלין, נשא דברי הספד היום, יום ראשון, י’ אדר ב’, 20 במרץ, בהלווייתו של ראש המוסד לשעבר מאיר דגן ז”ל, אשר הלך לעולמו ביום חמישי האחרון, ז’ אדר ב’, 17 במרץ. עוד נשאו דברי הספד ראש הממשלה, בנימין נתניהו, ראש המוסד הנוכחי, יוסי כהן, בתו של דגן, נועה, וחברו האלוף במילואים יוסי בן חנן.
נשיא המדינה ספד לדגן, ובפתח דבריו סיפר על אחת הפעמים בהם עבדו יחד ואמר: ״לפני שנים מספר ריכזתי את מטה הבחירות של הליכוד עבור מועמד הליכוד לראשות הממשלה, אריאל שרון. לתדהמתי ראיתי כי מאיר דגן מונה לרכז את אחד המרחבים, והוא כפוף למרותי. ניגשתי לאריק ואמרתי לו: ‘אני לא יכול לפקד על מאיר, שהיה עבור כולנו לוחם ומפקד נערץ’. אריק ענה לי: ‘אתה לא יודע מי זה מאיר, מאיר הוא שחקן בלי אגו, מאיר יפעל במקצועיות. בתחומים שבהם הוא מבין יותר ממך, הוא באמת יכול לפקד עליך. בתחומים שבהם הוא מבין פחות ממך, הוא יבצע בצורה מושלמת את המוטל עליו’. כך אמר אריק וכך בדיוק היה. כזה היית מאיר, מפקד ולוחם, מנהיג ואחד העם. דוגמא ומופת. מגיבורי ישראל.”

נשיא המדינה פתח הבוקר את ביקורו במוסקבה בביקור בספרייה הממלכתית של רוסיה שם חזה בכתבים מקוריים מהמאה ה-15 וה-16, סידורי תפילה וכתבי קודש. הנשיא ביקר גם במרתף הספרייה בו עובד צוות הספרייה על אחזקת הספרים ושימורם. הנשיא הדגיש כי אנו בישראל נכונים לסייע בכל הנדרש על מנת לטפח את האוסף ולשמרו.
הצוות הודה לנשיא על הגעתו לאזור שמור זה אליו נחשפים בודדים בלבד. הנשיא בתגובה הודה להם על שמירת האוסף ותחזוקתו למען הדורות הבאים.
מקור הכתבים שהוצגו לנשיא באוסף גינזבורג הנמצא בספרייה על שם לנין מאז 1919. משפחת האצולה היהודית-רוסית גינזבורג רכשה את האוסף שלה במשך שלושה דורות, מאז אמצע שנות הארבעים של המאה ה-19. האוסף כולל 14 אלף ספרים, 45 אינקונבולות (ספרים שהודפסו במאה ה-15 בתחילת עידן הדפוס), מעל אלפיים כתבי יד עבריים ועוד כאלף כתבי יד בערבית, ונחשב לשני בגודלו בעולם של ספרות עברית עתיקה, אחרי ספריית הבודליאנה באוניברסיטת אוקספורד.
במאי 1917 נתחם חוזה לרכישת האוסף בין הרוסים לבית הספרים הלאומי בירושלים תמורת חצי מיליון רובל בעזרתם של פעילים ציונים ובמימון כספי תרומות, אך בשל מלחמת העולם הראשונה התעכב המשלוח. עם פרוץ המהפכה הבולשביקית הולאמו הספרים על ידי השלטונות הסובייטיים והועברו לספריית לנין במוסקבה.
מאז נעשו ניסיונות רבים להביא את האוסף לארץ, בין השאר ע”י אלברט איינשטיין והנשיא הראשון חיים ויצמן, אך כולם נתקלו בסירוב. בשנות התשעים, צילמו הרוסים חלק גדול מכתבי היד והספרים שבאוסף, ואפשרו לחוקרים לעיין בהם. ספריית לנין אף בנתה מבנה מפואר במוסקבה לשימור האוסף. בתקופה האחרונה מתקיימים מגעים להצגת האוסף בישראל.

Police say a suicide bomber detonated explosives close to a children’s playground,… an area full of families celebrating Easter Sunday.
Many of the victims are women and children.
A local faction of the Taliban has claimed responsibility for the attack and said the target was Pakistan’s small Christian population.

Garry Shandling, the actor, comedian and creator of “The Larry Sanders Show” died at the age of 66 in Los Angeles.
Shandling, known for “The Larry Sanders Show,” was born in Chicago and got his first break in 1973, when he sold a script for “Sanford and Son.” Writing jobs for “Three’s Company” and “The Harvey Korman Show” followed, though he found that the lifestyle made him miserable. Ultimately, a near-fatal car accident in 1977 inspired him to try something new: stand-up.

Poland says it will not take in asylum seekers, following of the Tuesday deadly attacks that rocked the Belgium capital.Prime Minister Be-ata Shedwo noted that she wants to ensure the security of Polish citizens in the first place. She said the European Union has hastily agreed to the influx of refugees to the continent. The first group of refugees was expected to arrive in Poland in late March or early April. This, after EU leaders forced through a controversial deal last September to relocate 120,000 asylum seekers among member states. Poland is the first EU member to take action regarding refugees following the Brussels bombings.

רק לפני מספר שבועות הגיח לעולם הלהיט עם המילים מהזוהר בפרשת פנחס בלחנו של המוהרא”ש זצוק”ל וכעת המילים “ממלא כל עלמין וסובב כל עלמין, אין שום מציאות מבלעדיך כלל, וכל תנועה ותנועה שם אלופו של עולם” מקבלות ביצוע עדכני ולחן חדש שהפתיחה שלו זהה לגירסת המוהרא”ש (בוצע על ידי הרב מאיר דוד פרקש) אבל ההמשך מקבל תפנית חדה ועיבוד דיגיטאלי.
המלודיה היא פרי יצירתו של המלחין הנודע שייע גרוס והעיבוד מעשה ידי הצמד אלי קליין ואיצי ברי שכבש את עולם המוסיקה החסידית. את קולות הרקע העניקו נתן פוקס ושלמה ברנשטיין ואם תשאלו את יואלי קליין, המבצע של השיר הוא לא רואה שום בעיה בעיבוד האלקטרוני: “המוזיקה היא בסוף רק צינור. ברוך ה’ היתה לי הזכות להיות חלק מאותו צינור שדרכו זרם לעולם ‘ואפילו בהסתרה’, ולאחר מכן לרגש את הציבור עם הביצוע החדש של ‘לבקש רחמים’ ו’דע לך בני’. אני מאמין שהטקסט הקדוש הזה מהזוהר והמילים שהוספנו באידיש יכולים לגעת בכל נפש והמוסיקה, היא באווירת התקופה ופונה בהחלט לדור הצעיר”.
“מי ששומע את השיר פעמיים, נדבק למנגינה ולא מפסיק לזמזמם ‘ממלא, ממלא, ממלא’ אומר התקליטן עמי מימון ויואלי קליין מוסיף: “אני שר הרבה בחתונות ובימים האחרונים מבצע את הלחן הזה, לא יאמן כמה שזה תופס את כולם”. אחת ההפתעות בשיר היא קולו של המלחין שייע גרוס שנשמע שר את הפתיחה “אינני זמר” הוא אומר “אבל כשיואלי נותן הוראות אני ממלא…”

Yaldei’s integration of advanced clinical, behavioral, educational and family support services provides children with the opportunity to learn how to walk, talk, play, attend school and lead productive lives as part of their community.

הארגון הפרטי הוא יחיד במינו בכל רחבי קיובק שמוקדש בלי מטרות רווח לעזור לילדים עם צרכים מיוחדים ולמשפחותיהם להוציא את המקסימום שאפשר שיוכלו ללכת, לשחק, לדבר, ויכולת להיכנס למסגרת לימודי חינוכי ולנהל חיים פרודוקטיביים ואינטרגציה בסביבה.

Members of Montreal’s community attended “Yaldei’s” 10th annual dinner in a mass wave of support for the hundreds of families that are serviced by the center for children with developmental needs.
The only one of its kind in Quebec, Yaldei is a private, not-for-profit early intervention center dedicated to helping children with developmental challenges reach their full potential. Yaldei’s integration of advanced clinical, behavioral, educational and family support services provides children with the opportunity to learn how to walk, talk, play, attend school and lead productive lives as part of their community.

הארגון הפרטי הוא יחיד במינו בכל רחבי קיובק שמוקדש בלי מטרות רווח לעזור לילדים עם צרכים מיוחדים ולמשפחותיהם להוציא את המקסימום שאפשר שיוכלו ללכת, לשחק, לדבר, ויכולת להיכנס למסגרת לימודי חינוכי ולנהל חיים פרודוקטיביים ואינטרגציה בסביבה.

״וַתּוֹסֶף אֶסְתֵּר וַתְּדַבֵּר לִפְנֵי הַמֶּלֶךְ וַתִּפּל לִפְנֵי רַגְלָיו וַתֵּבְךְּ וַתִּתְחַנֶּן לוֹ”. “אֵ-לִי אֵ-לִי לָמָה עֲזַבְתָּנִי” (אסתר ח, ג; תהילים כב, ב). החיבור הידוע בין המזמור ״למנצח על אילת השחר״ מתהילים לפסוק ממגילת אסתר, מהווה המחשה נפלאה לכך שגם כשעמדה אסתר המלכה והתחננה לפני אחשוורוש, תחנוניה מופנים היו אל מלכו של עולם.
״הטוב כי לא כלו רחמיך״, בפורים מודים לא רק על העבר אלא מבקשים ומתחננים גם על העתיד: ״כי מעולם קיווינו לך״.
זכור אהבת קדומים: בשונה מחנוכה בו נאבקו היוונים בקיום הרוח, מצוות התורה, בפורים הגזירה הייתה על הגוף, “לְהַשְׁמִיד לַהֲרֹג וּלְאַבֵּד אֶת כָּל הַיְּהוּדִים” (אסתר ג, יג). הגוף ניצל והגוף הוא שמודה: “לבי ובשרי ירננו אל א-ל חי”.
“אֲהַלְלָה אֱלֹקַי וְאֶשְׂמְחָה בוֹ, וְאָשִׂימָה תִקְוָתִי בּוֹ. אֲהוֹדֶנּוּ בְּסוֹד עַם קְרוֹבוֹ, אֱלֹקֵי צוּרִי אֶחֱסֶה בּוֹ”. כשסיפרתי שהפרויקט הבא עליו אני עובד הוא אלבום לפורים, אחיי אביגדור ודב, ללא כל תיאום ביניהם אמרו לי: “את ‘אהללה’ אתה חייב להקליט!”.
– “למה? זה בכלל שיר של הקפות לשמחת תורה?”, שאלתי.
תשובתם לא הותירה אצלי ספק: “את המילים ‘אלוקי צורי אחסה בו ואשימה תקוותי בו’ אנחנו רוצים לרקוד בפורים”. מוקדש לאחיי ולכל מי שיש לו רצון נפלא שכזה.

Hinde Ester Singer Kreytman (31 March 1891 – 13 June 1954), known in English as Esther Kreitman, was a Yiddish-language novelist and short story writer. She was born in Biłgoraj, Congress Poland to a rabbinic Jewish family. Her younger brothers Israel Joshua Singer and Isaac Bashevis Singer also became writers.
Kreitman had an unhappy childhood. According to her son, her mother gave her to an uncaring wet nurse for the first three years, who left her under a dusty table where she was visited once a week by her mother, who did not touch her. Later, as a highly gifted child, she had to watch her younger brothers being taught, while she was relegated to menial household duties. Kreitman’s first novel includes numerous scenes depicting the main female character’s desires for education: scenes in which she waits with great anticipation for the bookseller to arrive in their town, dreams of becoming a scholar, and hides a Russian text-book from the male members of her family so that they won’t find out she is studying in secret. It is likely that these incidents reflect Kreitman’s own story.

The Venetian Ghetto (incidentally, the first Ghetto) was instituted on 29 March 1516, though political restrictions on Jewish rights and residences existed before that date.[1]
