The House of Saud (Arabic: آل سعود Āl Saʻūd) is the ruling royal family of Saudi Arabia. The family has thousands of members. It is composed of the descendants of Muhammad bin Saud and his brothers, though the ruling faction of the family is primarily led by the descendants of Abdulaziz Ibn Saud.
The most influential member of the Royal family is the King of Saudi Arabia, currently King Salman. The throne was designed to pass from one son of the first king, Ibn Saud, to another. His deputy Muqrin bin Abdulaziz Al Saud is also from the ruling House of Saud, and the king-appointed cabinet includes more members of the royal family. While the monarchy is hereditary now, future Saudi kings will be chosen by a committee of Saudi princes, in line with a 2006 Royal Decree.[1]
The family is estimated to be composed of 15,000 members, but the majority of the power and wealth is possessed by a group of only about 2,000.[2][3]
The House of Saud has gone through three phases: the First Saudi State, the Second Saudi State, and the modern nation of Saudi Arabia. The First Saudi State marked the expansion of Wahhabism. על פי הערכת המשטרה למעלה מ- 50 אלף איש, מכל גווני הקשת הציבורית, השתתפו באירוע הענק ‘שמחת בית השואבה הגדולה בישראל’ בחצר הקודש מישקולץ בפתח תקוה, בראשות מנהיג העדה כ”ק מרן האדמו”ר ממישקולץ שליט”א – מנהיגה הרוחני של פתח תקוה, שהתקיימה אמש במוצאי חג ראשון של סוכות, בכיכר מישקולץ – צומת הרחובות סלנט – אחד העם, והרחובות הסמוכים שליד בנין ישיבת מישקולץ במרכז העיר פתח תקוה.
באירוע השתתפו ראש עיריית פתח תקוה, והצמרת העירונית, וכל הסגל הבכיר במשטרת ישראל, אישי ציבור, וכן עשרות רבנים וראשי ישיבות, ואחמי”ם רבים.
שיאו של הערב היה נאומו המלהיב והמחזק של כ”ק מרן האדמו”ר ממישקולץ שליט”א, שדיבר מענייני החג והשעה. בין דבריו אמר האדמו”ר: המשיח כבר כאן, אבל הוא מחכה לאחדות בציבור החרדי. האסונות שנחתו לאחרונה בציבור, הוא מחוסר פרגון, צרות עין ו’מכה רעהו בסתר’. (את הנאום המלא של האדמו”ר, ניתן לשמוע בוידאו באתר)
בסיום דבריו הנרגשים קיבל קהל הרבבות יחד עם האדמו”ר ‘קבלת עול מלכות שמים’ כשקריאת ‘שמע ישראל’ מהדהדת למרחקים בחוצות העיר, מה שקירב המונים לאביהם שבשמים, ואף את המון העם הרחוקים מדרך המסורת.
על החלק האומנותי ניצחו, ענקי הזמר: ליפא שמעלצר –ארה”ב, יניב בן משיח, ברק כהן, ומאט דאב מארה”ב. האירוע הענק אף הועבר בשידור חי ברדיו ‘קול ברמה’ על ידי השדרן עמי מימון ובכל ערוצי התקשורת בארץ.
משטרת פתח תקוה הקצתה מאות שוטרים וקצינים מתחנת משטרת פתח תקוה והמחוז, לאבטח את שלום ההמונים, ובד”ץ מישקולץ – מערכת הכשרות המהודרת ביותר בפתח תקוה, שכל תושבי העיר ובני היהדות הנאמנה סומכים עליה, העמיד עשרות סדרנים שפיקחו על כל גדרי הצניעות והקדושה במעמד, דבר שאין לו אח ורע, באירוע בסדר גודל ענק שכזה.
בסיום האירוע עברו אלפי איש להתברך מפי האדמו”ר ממישקולץ שליט”א האהוב והנערץ על כל תושבי העיר, אשר כידוע ברכותיו אינן שבות ריקם ומתקיימות במלואן בזכות כוח התורה שבו.

Dans cette réponse du 9 Septembre 2013 à un élève qui souhaitait avoir des précisions sur l’appel du rav diffusé sur internet, obtient la réponse ci dessous:
Une Alyah oui, mais une Alyah par amour de la Torah.
Pour clarifier les choses, osons apporter une suite à l’adage millénaire : “l’an prochain à Jérusalem” ou mais “le plus tôt sera le mieux !”

In unserem jüdischen Kalender beginnen die Tage nicht um Mitternacht, sondern schon am Vortag, wenn die Sonne untergeht. Und so beginnt der Jom Kipúr schon am Dienstagabend. In der Synagoge hören wir zum Beginn des Versöhnungstages e
in besonderes Lied: das Kol Nidre. Für viele Juden gibt es nichts „Jüdischeres“ als gerade dieses Kol Nidre. Kol Nidre ist aramäisch und bedeutet so viel wie „alle Schwüre“. Ein Schwur oder ein Versprechen ist in unserem Verständnis ein Eid gegenüber Gott. Abschwören, Verträge aufkündigen, Versprechen auflösen, ein unbeschriebenes Blatt sein. Zu Beginn des Versöhnungstages können solche Schwüre aufgelöst werden. Gerald Beyrodt über einen ganz besonderen liturgischen Gesang, den wir am Dienstagabend in der Synagoge hören werden: das „Kol Nidre“.

Henriette Reker ist zur Oberbürgermeisterin von Köln gewählt worden. Die 58-Jährige setzte sich am Sonntag gleich im ersten Wahlgang durch und erreichte mit 52,7 Prozent die absolute Mehrheit- während sie in einer Klinik im künstlichen Koma lag.
Reker war am Samstag bei einer Wahlkampfveranstaltung von einem 44-Jährigen Langzeitarbeitslosen mit einem Messer angegriffen und schwer verletzt worden. Nach der jüngsten Gewalteskalation in Israel und den besetzten Palästinensergebieten sind zahlreiche arabischstämmige Mitarbeiter von israelischen Schulen vom Dienst ausgeschlossen worden.
Die vorübergehende Maßnahme erließen vier israelische Städte, darunter Tel Aviv.
Ministerpräsident Benjamin Netanjahu lehnte eine von Frankreich vorgeschlagene internationale Aufsicht über den umstrittenenen Tempelberg in Jerusalem ab:

Im Judentum ist ein erfülltes Liebesleben ein Gebot, allerdings nur innerhalb der Ehe. Sexualität dient nicht nur der Fortpflanzung, sondern auch der Lust, dem Vergnügen. Die Frau hat, ebenso wie der Mann, ein verbrieftes Recht darauf. Das hat Auswirkungen auf die gesamte jüdische Kultur, auch auf die säkularisierte.
Der Film stellt die Haltung der Juden zu Liebe und Sex vor: Thematisiert werden unter anderem die Rolle der Sexualität in der Thora sowie die Bräuche rund um Eheschließung und Hochzeit.

Saul Bellow (10 June 1915 – 5 April 2005) was a Canadian-born American writer. For his literary contributions, Bellow was awarded the Pulitzer Prize, the Nobel Prize for Literature, and the National Medal of Arts.[1] He is the only writer to win the National Book Award for Fiction three times[2] and he received the National Book Foundation’s lifetime Medal for Distinguished Contribution to American Letters in 1990.[3]
Saul Bellow was born Solomon Bellows[9][10] in Lachine, Quebec, two years after his parents, Lescha (née Gordin) and Abraham Bellows,[11] emigrated from Saint Petersburg, Russia. [9][10] Bellow’s family was Lithuanian-Jewish;[12][13] his father was born in Vilnius. Bellow celebrated his birthday in June, although he may have been born in July (in the Jewish community, it was customary to record the Hebrew date of birth, which does not always coincide with the Gregorian calendar).

In Saul Bellow: At Ease, the Nobel Prize-winning author speaks with the Columbia, Maryland, community in February 1986 at Howard Community College, reading from Henderson the Rain King and referencing other works, such as Herzog and Seize the Day, as he responds to audience queries about his early influences, intersections of life and literature, the harmonies of storytelling, the pleasures and pains of writing, the impact of criticism, and the comic imagination. Then, in an impromptu press conference with area journalists, Bellow shares his views on the possibilities of fiction and the creative imagination to help us orient ourselves within our personal and ancestral histories, on public life after the Nobel Prize, the effects of TV on what used to be “the living room,” and critical thinking as the essence of democracy. A long-time teacher at the University of Chicago, he remarks, “I don’t know what I would do without my students, for I’m able to talk with them…about things that matter…matter deeply to me.”

Moses Asch (December 2, 1905 – October 19, 1986), often known as Moe Asch, was a Polish-American recording engineer and record executive. He founded Asch Records, which then changed its name to Folkways Records when the music changed from 78 RPM recordings to LP records. Asch ran the Folkways label from 1948 until his death in 1986. Folkways was very influential in bringing folk music into the American cultural mainstream. Some of America’s greatest folk songs were originally recorded for Asch, including “This Land Is Your Land” by Woody Guthrie and “Goodnight Irene” by Lead Belly. Asch sold many commercial recordings to Verve Records; after his death, Asch’s archive of ethnic recordings was acquired by the Smithsonian Institution, and released asSmithsonian Folkways Records.
Moses Asch was born in Warsaw, Poland, the son of Yiddish language novelist and dramatist Sholem Asch, and the younger brother of novelist Nathan Asch. In 1912, the Asch family left Poland, on account of anti-Semitism, and settled in a suburb of Paris. In 1915, as war engulfed France, the family emigrated to New York. After the war, Asch studied electronics at a technical Hochschule in Koblenz, Germany. He returned to New York to commence work as an audio engineer.[1]
In 1938, his father’s employer, The Jewish Daily Forward, commissioned the firm where Asch worked to build a transmitter for its Yiddish-language radio station, WEVD. Asch thereafter explored the market for recorded Yiddish music, both sacred and secular. In 1940, Asch established Asch Recordings, and concentrated on publishing and selling phonograph records.
